The views here are some of the best you’ll get. Hidden entrance, but right off the Mt. Rose Highway. Clean clear alpine water available from the creek that runs along the Rim Trail.
Perfect 4G service on Verizon, views over the park and all the way out to George Washington and Jefferson National Forest. Campground north of here has $1 showers and south of there is a trail head you can part overnight.
Free camping right on the ocean. You can even take a ferry over from Galveston.
